PDF not printing

I have tried to print a PDF document.  When I try to print the entire doc, the printer sits idle for a while showing "sending data to printer", then it reads "Can't open".  With that said, I have played around with changing the page quanities and I am successful, if I print under two pages, it prints without error.  If I try to print more than two pages, it reads "Can't open".  I am using the current Acrobat DC with my Creative Cloud account.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is your printer? Printer drivers for the macOS are very regularly not correctly implemented.

I would try to switch off Collate if that option is given.

Collate send the file to the printer and the printer then pints the document x times. If Collate is switched off, Acrobat sends the document x times to the printer.

If Collate is switched off, you could try to switch it on.

Hi Seanb

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. AS described you are unable to print the PDF with more that 2 pages.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs, pleae try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 installed Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/m-p/4792082

Also check for any missing/pending updates for printer driver and firmware and try updating them.

Please go through the help page - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html and see if that helps.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, all PDF files on my Mac desktop will
not print more than 2 pages at a time. I am using 21.0, however it says it
is up to date and I cannot download 21.07.20099 See image attached

I do not understand where you want to send me to go to find "help". Please
let me know where I find your following instructions: help > About Acrobat
and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 installed Go to Help
> Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Thanks for your help.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please open the Adobe Acrobat application and go to the help menu and click on Check for updates as shown in the screenshot below:

Also you may try to download the patch manually from the link - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the aplication using the link - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html
