PDF Portfolio "Add Folder..." No Longer Retains Folder/File Structure

In older releases of Acrobat Pro, PDF Portfolios allowed you to add Folders and it would retain the Folder structure (including any sub-folders with the Files inside of those). On the latest version, it goes through the folder and any sub-folders and only imports the FILES that are in the folders (and does not include the folder structure those files reside in). How can I import a Folder and maintain the Folder's internal structure?

Just to be clear, I want the PDF Portfolio to match the Folder structure on my computer like:

  • Parent Folder
    • Child Folder 1
      • File A
      • File B
    • Child Folder 2
      • File C
      • File D

And currently when I Add Folder -> "Parent Folder", PDF Portfolio only imports:

  • File A
  • File B
  • File C
  • File D

Please help solve this basic functionality issue. This is the entire reason Portfolio exists rather simple Attachments on a PDF!

I have found in the newest version of Acrobat as of Jan 25th 2023, that a workaround, is to drop any single file into the Portfolio windows, then hit Create, which then open a more extensive windows with a column on the left where you can then remove that single file and drop a folder of files into the left column and it will retain all the folder structure.

Two work-arounds worked for us:
Find a portfolio that already works and edit that.

Add folders after you've created the portfolio.

Their portfolio 'wizard' doesn't function like it's supposed too.

Sucks that you pay to have basic features like this and they don't work.
