The other day I exported pdf to .rtf. Then I opened the .rtf in Word, and the file was clean, that is no layout and/or formatting remained. When I did the same today, and opened the .rtf in Word, it had all the features of the pdf. How to do?

Hi AgiW,

Thanks for reaching out. as described above, you are facing issues with converting PDF to .rtf and opening them in Word, correct?

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to export the PDF?   What is the application you are using  (Adobe Acrobat DC or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC) and what is the version. To check the version of the application please use the link - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

Please check for any missing updates and try updating the application. Go to Help > Check for Updates. To know more about the latest version please use the help article - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

Also, you can directly export the  PDF to Word and check for the issue . For detailed information please use the help article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/exporting-pdfs-file-formats.html

You can also export the PDF to Word Online here https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi Amal, Thanks for your reply. I exported the PDF on  https://documentcloud.adobe.com to .rtf. And then I opened the .rtf in Word. It was fine. Just a few adjustments need. With the second PDF (another chapter of the same book) I got an .rtf without formatting, but when I opened the .rtf in Word the file came with all the features of the PDF. Once it worked, second time it didn't. The reason I don't want to export the PDF directly to word is because I have no use for the formatting. I want a clean text. Regards Agneta
