pdf will not print in color all of a sudden

This week September 2022 I can not get pdfs to print in color.  This has worked forever until now.  I am able to print emails, web pages, word docs, and photos in color.  I do check that printer properties stipulates color and grayscale is not checked.  The reader is uptodate.  Please help!
