PDF with embedded font displays differently on different PCs

Question

I have a PDF with embedded fonts that looks different on 2 different PCs

The problem might be something to do with the fonts themselves

The PC (A), used to create the document (and now defunct) in the Lydian font shows Lydian (and Lydian MT) as a font option (and Lydian MT) and has both visible in the Windows->Fonts directory.

PC(B) used to update the document shows Lydian (and Lydian MT) as available in the document. However Lydian does not appear in the list of fonts in Windows->Fonts (Lydian MT does). Attempt to install Lydian are met with Font exists, Replace?

The PDF created from this document only shows Lydian MT as an embedded font (which is presumably why the PDF displays slightly differently on a 3rd PC (C)).

So how can I get the Lydian font embedded in the resulting PDF? - or even visible in Windows->Fonts in which case it might embed automatically?

The issue is more likely with the application(s) used to open the file. Where do you open it, on both computers?

Hello

It appears that the Lydian font's availability and embedding may be connected to the problem. Try reinstalling the Lydian font on PC(B) and making sure it shows up in the Windows->Fonts directory to guarantee consistency between several PCs and in the generated PDF. After the document is viewable, save it again and make a PDF. The Lydian typeface should be correctly embedded by this. If the problem continues, you might have to use Adobe Acrobat or a similar program to manually embed the font in the PDF.
