PDFs displaying wrong font (OpenSans being replaced with OpenSansRoman)

New Here ,
Nov 29, 2024 Nov 29, 2024

Hello,

Having an issue with PDFs displaying a different font than what I saved them as.

I save documents created in MS Word as a PDF with the Open Sans font, but when opening the PDF it's been replaced with something called OpenSansRoman font which is quite different.

I don't actually have the OpenSansRoman font installed on my PC so I'm not sure where it's coming from. Is there anyway to remove it?

Many thanks for any help.

Hi @morgan_9768,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

In case you still experience the issue, you might want to try the below steps:

Open a file in Word-> go to the Acrobat ribbon-> click on Preferences-> Advanced-> uncheck the option "Rely on system fonts only, use Document Fonts"-> create the PDF again.

Hope this helps.
