Permissions in Acrobat

New Acrobat install.  I can't open any files using acrobat that are in "My Documents" folder on the C drive.  Windows 11 user.   Says " you don't have permission to open this file.  Contact the file owner or administrator to obtain permission."

I have 6 days left of my trial.  

Any suggestions?
