Can I still purchase an upgrade perpetual license for Adobe Acrobat Pro? I can't seem to find any way to do this  on the Adobe site.

TIA,

Miles

Yes, but it's very well hidden. Here's how you do it:

Go to the Adobe Products Page (https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html) and search for "Acrobat".

Click on the Buy button next to Acrobat Pro 2017, and then change the "I want to buy" option to "Full License" (or "License Upgrade" if you have a qualifying earlier version).

Then select the other options and click on Add To Cart, and proceed to checkout. You'll get a full license, not a time-based subscription.

Be aware that Adobe's definition of "perpetual" has changed since the founders have left the company.  The current defintion is until software support runs out (i.e. what they call "end of life").  At which time they disable the FlexNet liciencing server and the software will not longer run or allow itself to be "activated".  Fro Acrobat that is about 3-4 years - so Adobe define "perpetual" to mean 3-4 years.  Its up to you to do the math - SAAS cost for 4 yrs vs one-off 4 year cost.  Ethical?  Probably not; but Adobe has not been an ethical company for many years.

again, you're posting to older threads.  (and acrobat 9 can still be activated and it's 14 years old, so 3-4 is an exaggeration.)

They deactivated my perpetual license just last year for a purchase about 4 years ago.

Beware as Adobe can deactivate your licenence anytime as they have done to me. It's outright robbery. Use Affinity Design instead -- cheap and hust as good plus no monthly fees ever!!!

Happened to me too and they acted like there was no record of me having the perpetual license I have/had.  And I did NOT change computers.

I also lost my perpetual license and Adobe pretended like it never existed. Lost it after subscribing to Creative Cloud in order to take classes. Somewhere in that process of downloading other Adobe software, my perpetual license vanished. Also.. same computer.
