Question

Please help! How can I save format settings in Acrobat Pro DC?

Hello all,

We use Acrobat Pro to print PDFs. We regularly use the edit feature to change the text in text boxes. When we have done this, and saved the file, we find that when we next open the file the formatting has not saved, for example:

The text is no longer centre aligned, instead, it reverts back to being left-aligned.

We note that the text box may have changed size also.

It would be most helpful if there was a way to save the settings as we could in DTP programs we have used.

I hope you can help,

Kind regards,

Ian

Acrobat is NOT a word processing tool and should not be used for editing the static contents of PDF files directly, especially not in you're working in DTP. Make the changes in the original file and then create a new PDF.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

We get that Acrobat pro is not a WP tool.

However, our question regarding saving settings remains,

It would be most helpful if there was a way to save the settings as we could in DTP programs we have used.

Kind regards,

Ian

You can request that it is added as a new feature, here: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html
