Hi @Tina31885832lapx

Thanks for reaching out.

Have you started experiencing this issue recently?

What is the version of the Acrobat application you are using? To check the version please take help from this help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

Please make sure you have the latest version of application 23.03.20284 installed. You may download the upate patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html and reboot the computer once and see if that works.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards

Amal

Just add a tick box to 'not show this suggestion again' so we can all click it and not have to see the dame pop up EVERY TIME WE OPEN A PDF.

do you not understand how annoying and counter-productive it is??

How do I stop this pop up from even coming up?  Just *another* "improvement" from Adobe that's only irritating, not helpful!  Do they just sit around and think of ways they can make their software a bigger PITA?

You can stop messages from Adobe in Menu > Preferences > General. Under Messages from/to Adobe untick "Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat". Never had to do this previously as didn't get the same message repeatedly everytime I opened  a document. Perhaps Adobe need to change the setting on their message, so that once someone's read it, it doesn't get shown again.

Not true as of June 19, 2024, version 24.002.20857.  This annoying pop-up opens up every time I open a .pdf file, and I absolutely hate it.

The option is unchecked but I still get the dang popup every dang time I open Adobe Acrobat Pro.

I'm paying for this product to make my life easier not being a PITA every time I open it.

If there isn't any resolution to something this simple, there are free PDF editors out there that I happily switch to.

Please let me know if I need to stop paying for the Pro version and just simply switch.

Thanks!

Same problem here. I pay for pro and this popup comes up all the time. I get the message--I can "Make edits right in your PDF." I don't need to be told this over and and over and over again. It's extremely annoying. Please give us the ability to stop this popup.

Hi  there,

Please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

This has been driving me crazy.  I hate those pop-ups.  This morning I tried clearing the check box, closeing the preferences, and then resetting it.  So far the ever so helpful tip has not reappeared.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that

Would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

I'm getting the message too. Been getting it for about a month now. Tried repairing, tried updating, nothing gets rid of it.

Hello,

I am experiencing the same issue: Annoying daily POP-UP ad, explaining that I can edit PDFs using Adobe (super irrelevant message).

See: Version 24.002.20857

JimmyMcJimboface_0-1719419923309.png

JimmyMcJimboface_1-1719419987353.png

  1. Disabled the annoying pop-up function
    JimmyMcJimboface_2-1719420001022.png

  2. Repaired the install
  3. Thought it worked after rebooting and waiting the next day. Then it popped up randomly today after a couple hours of use with several files, while I was in the middle of working on a PDF, to tell me the program can do exactly what I overpay it to do! lol.

See again:

JimmyMcJimboface_3-1719420029924.png

*This it the program informing me that it can do what I am literally doing at the time. Yikes!

Hopefully this helps Adobe to sort themselves out.

I submitted the diags and have a link to the requested logs below:

LATEST

Update: it's been about a week and I no longer am getting spammed with that pop-up telling me I can edit PDFs with the software I purchased to edit PDFs. It appears the latest version fixed the problem (24.002.20895). 🙂

Yes, I believe it's time to work our way to another pdf handler...  Maybe if no one is using them anymore, they'll finally get the message...albeight too late!

Having the same issue as well - popup keeps occuring, disabled 'show messages from Adobe', and tried repairing the installation. Very obnoxious.
