Potential Issue Opening PDFs In Chrome w/ Adobe Acrobat Extenstion

We are having multiple users in my firm running into issues when trying to open PDFs from various sites in chrome via the AA extension. It appears that the document tries to open then gets stuck at 100% but it never opens. Even when the setting is changed for the documents to download instead of trying open in chrome it still does not work. The version of the plug-in that is currently in production with my firm is 24.2.1.1. I know it is not the latest version. I am working with our internal team on that...

Is this something that has been fixed with a newer version of the extension?

Is there a location where I can find the release notes and changes for the chrome extension?

Final question, is the extension connect to the desktop application? Meaning, when the desktop application is updated the extension gets updated as well?
