Question

Prepare Form - Text box won't move or change size

I'm using AdobePDF Library 22.3.39 version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)

I prepare forms frequently and started having an issue today.  When I add a text box in Prepare Form, I cannot move or change the size of the box.  I'm usually able to drag the box where it needs to go and be able to resize it. I checked in properties and nothing is locked.  When I try to move the little arrow shows up like it will allow me to move, but nothing.  If I try to resize, the resize icon will appear but won't allow me to resize the box.

Until someone can help me, I'm using the Position tab in Text Field Properties box.

Hi Stacie:

This is an Adobe Acrobat question but you posted it on the InDesign forum. I'll move it over so that you can get the help you need.

I'm having his problem on a new computer; form boxes and stamps I could previously resize and move CANNOT be moved or sized anymore; I have run repair and update which usually fixes this problem, not working this time.

I have moved to a new computer and I cannot MOVE or SIZE any fields on my forms; I ALSO cannot size my stamps down or up; I cannot copy and paste then or move a form field anywhere; the ONLY way I can do this is with the POSITION menu in text field properties -- I have forms with over 100 fields; I CANNOT do this this way!! What has happend when I moved the program and files?  I MUST fix this!! When this has done this in the past, RUNNING REPAIR has worked -- NOT this time!

Hey - did you get this resolved?

One thing it might be is that you accidentally anchored it in a text frame.

But a long shot - have you got a sample document?
