Print multiple pages without scaling

Unfortunately both, Print multiple and Print booklet allow for very little user settings. There are designed as a quick and dirty solution and not as a full fledged imposition tool.

If you need that, you need to buy either Pitstop (PitStop Pro. Print-ready PDF files. Every time. ) or similar or you need to do "manual" imposition using Illustrator or Indesign.

I just worked out how to print 4 x A3 pages onto a single A1 page without the original A3 pages being scaled down. I cropped the A3 pages by 10mm first and then printed to multiple pages.  Once the A3 page is cropped by a sufficient amount, the A1 page with the multiple A3 images retains it's scale (important for architectural & engineering drawings). 5mm and 7mm cropping wasn't sufficient, but I found 10mm works for an A3.

It seems that Acrobat only scales the pages down it it feels is has to. There must be some internal margin settings in the print to multiple pages function.
