Question

Print to PDF broken on many machines in the last few days

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020, fully updated.  We're getting more and more tickets every day.
There is no error, the print dialog box comes up, shows progress, and exits.
Except there is no file after.  Just, nothing happens.
Uninstalling / reinstalling does not help. I can't reproduce the problem on my workstation, which is running Windows 11.
But we're having the problem on 4 RDSH servers (2022) and many Windows 10 workstations.

This continues to spread.  I can't imagine we're the only ones having this problem?

Hi @d_logaan ,

Thanks for reaching out and we apologize for the issues you are facing.

Can you please share a few details to help us debug the issue.

Has this started happening after any recent update from Acrobat?
Has this started happening after any recent update from Windows?
Is this happening for all files? if not please share the files.
Can you please share the video of the workflow?

Hard to say if it started happening after a Windows or Adobe update.  We're constantly updating because of security vulnerabilities.
When it starts on a workstation, it is not file or program specific.  It will happen with Notepad as well as Word, CAD programs, etc.

Hi @d_logaan ,

Would you mind sharing print logs with us to help us understand if this is related to Acrobat?

Steps can be found here:  https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/collect-print-logs-for-acrobat.html

Also, for converting the files from Word using Acrobat PDF Printer, would you mind checking if this has been done:

Go to Print-> Adobe PDF-> Printer properties-> uncheck "Rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts"-> OK.
