Printers mapped from a print server will no longer print from Adobe Reader DC or Adobe Standard

Greetings,

We recently migrated to a new domain and since the migration any printers that we push to our users from our print server will no longer print pdfs from Adobe products. Users can print from Microsoft Office products to the same printers with no issue. It seems to just be adobe.

Thanks!

There were issues with Windows 10  version 1803 (initially sent out this past April) support of non-PostScript Type 4 printer drivers when OpenType CFF fonts were used. This was known to affect many PCL drivers. The fix was released as a Windows 10 update earlier this week. You should make sure your Windows 10 system is fully updated and possibly that a similar update is applied to your server as well.

This may solve the problem.

It would be helpful if you could provide some more specific information.

What type of printers are they? PostScript? PCL?

Are you using the same drivers that used to work? And if so, are they configured the same?

What OS are you running and is the server (if any) running on?

We use mainly Brother and Dell printers. We use PCL drivers for them.

We are using the same drivers and did not reconfigure them.

Our End user machines are all on Windows 10 and our Print Server is on Windows Server 2016
