We are currently experiencing an issue with some PDF files in adobe acrobat reader version 2024.001.20604 where the file looks great on the reader itself, but when you go to print it comes out with a black background. The only places the paper is white is around text. I have tried reinstalling the app, checking for updates, different printers, various preference changes, and nothing seems to work. The only workaround I have found so far is to either use the adobe chrome extension - or preview (we are on Macs).
Wondering if anyone else has ever come across this, or if there is anything else to try. Thanks. Attached is a photo of what printing looks like, a photo of the file on adobe acrobat, and the file itself.

Hi @Ryan_NMS
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
In the Print dialog, disable "Print in grayscale" if selected, click on the "Advanced" button and make sure that the "Negative" option is not selected. If you can't deselect "Negative", change Color option from Composite to Composite Gray, for example, deselect Negative and change Color back to Composite. Click OK to confirm and you can select "Print in grayscale" again if necessary and see if that works.
Let us know how it goes.

are you on Mac? cause Advanced Print Setup looks like this:
without too many options for configuration.
I have the same issues like Ryan using Canon TR4500 and Preview helped me to print the page without black background.
This issue is pretty annoying since all officials docs are in PDF and we cannot print with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
