Hi @ludovicallo,

Thank you for your feedback. I understand how this workaround might feel counterintuitive. Let me clarify why this suggestion is provided and how it addresses the issue.

The issue you or others may be experiencing typically arises due to the way the PDF was originally created, not necessarily because of Acrobat Pro itself. Factors such as improperly embedded fonts, embedded images, or file structure can lead to compatibility or rendering issues. Acrobat Pro, being a feature-rich and professional PDF processing tool, adheres to strict PDF standards. If the file deviates from those standards, rendering or printing issues can occur.

Browsers like Edge or Chrome, on the other hand, simplify PDF processing by focusing on quick rendering rather than full compliance with PDF standards. This is why they can sometimes handle problematic files for basic tasks like printing, even when Acrobat Pro identifies the underlying issues.

To address these issues without relying on workarounds, you can use Acrobat Pro’s Preflight tool. It’s specifically designed to identify and resolve file structure and compatibility issues, ensuring the file adheres to PDF standards. Here’s the link to a guide on using Preflight to fix such files: Preflight Fix Ups.

I hope this explanation clarifies the suggestion's intent and emphasizes Acrobat Pro’s role as a professional-grade solution for managing PDFs. If you encounter further issues, feel free to share the specific file details, and I’d be happy to assist you further.

Hi Tariq, thanks for your reply, but it doesn't seem satisfactory to me. It
would be if the problem occurred occasionally for some files; instead it is
a constant problem: the Acrobat application refuses to print all PDF files,
even those that did not pose problems before. So it is something that is
linked to the update.
best regards
Giovanna

I totally agree with you; this is a non-sense answer!

Exactly Giovanna ! Same problem here, on every files, a Distiller related error. I use Apple Preview to print files… while paying a huge amount for a Adobe Complete CC solution… I am looking for an alternative to Adobe products… Sick of it ! I have been using these products for too long now (Since 1997).
