Problems installing Adobe DC Standard after the trial of Adobe Acrobat DC Pro ended

Hello,

We are facing a problem with Adobe Acrobat DC Standard. In the past we used a trial Version of DC Pro. After the trial expired, we purchased Adobe DC standard.

We uninstalled completely the pro version and we used the invite to install the standard version.

When the installation is finished, it opens Adobe Acrobat Pro DC instead and asks to provide a serial number in order to activate the software.

Any ideas?

if windows:

uninstall pro using the uninstaller, then

clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer

install acrobat std (being careful to download the correct installation file).

I have the same issue and using the cleaner does not fix it.  There must be something in the registry somewhere that still remains as it keeps "activating" the pro version even when I entered the standard serial # in the installation.  Is there something else that I need to clean when I uninstall it?
