purchase direct from Adobe in 2017 of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Mac, English) serial number rejected

I have the confirmation email of this purchase of Adobe Acrobat Pro direct from Adobe.com in 2017, but the serial number is being rejected.  

 

I've tried contacting support, but so far have not gotten through.  I'll keep trying - but I wondered if anyone else has had this issue and knew how to fix it.

Acrobat DC doesn't have a serial number, it's a subscription-based application. You probably purchased Acrobat 2017, which is what you need to install now. You can get the installer from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-2017-downloads.html

Make sure you've downloaded the right thing - not for example Acrobat 2015 or Acrobat DC (Continuous).
