Qualified Electronic Signature(QES) in Adobe Reader not working

Community Beginner ,
Apr 16, 2020 Apr 16, 2020

Dear all,

when trying to sign PDF file with AR at work, Sign button seems to be not responding when it comes to this part of workflow (usually one should indicate where to save the file after it has been signed).

I am using QES which is kept in the cloud of signature issuer. And there is of course firewall protecting any internet access at work.

Would you have any idea how to configure AR so that digital signature would work?

Regards,

Maciek

Found reason for this problem. If mobile QES is used, access to it should be possible. Software I had supporting this solution was not up-to-date and some PKCS library was not available for System. after upgrade, libraries were finally there and AR was able to handle QES properly.

Hi Maciek,

Thank you for reaching out.

Are you referring that after adding the signature to the PDF, you do not get the save as options? Or the Save as window shows as blank?

If the Save as window shows as blank, please use the steps provided below:

- In Acrobat Reader, go to Edit > Preferences > General.

- Uncheck the box for " Show online storage when saving files"

- Click on the OK button to save the changes.

Now try to save the PDF.

If you are referring that when you add a digital signature in the application, it does not give you an option to save that file. In that case, would you mind sharing the screencapture of the workflow you do.

We will be waiting for your response.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,

no, I am refering to signing with certificate process.

You first choose certificate you would like to use, next step is to confirm what the signature will look like - and this is the screen where you have Sign button. Upon clicking on you, one should get windows Save wizard, but in my case nothing happens...

Regards,

Maciek
