QuarkXPress does its own internal PDF creation. It does not depend on any Adobe technology for this. As such, if you are having issues with the colors in PDF created by QuarkXPress, you really need to discuss this with Quark, either with their support personnel or on their own user forums.

It would be helpful for companies to understand how their product functions with others. I figured it out. If you check CMYK in color manager for output, for some reason it turns blacks to rich black... adding CMY. If you put as is, it leaves them alone.
