Question about how to block out text

I'm working with a form that has been locked after signatures were added; I'm trying to block out a signature added by mistake by creating a rectangle in comment section and imposing it onto the unneeded signature. I can create a figure with a solid black border, but how do I create a rectangle that is solid black? Thanks in advance for your help. -

If you want to not just cover up the signature, then you need to use the Redaction tools in Acrobat Pro. Anything done without redaction can potentially be restored and uncovered.

You can make a black-filled rectangle with the help from the Properties Toolbar.  You can open the Properties Toolbar by pressing control/command E.  Then select your rectangle.  The toolbar should then reflect the properties of the rectangle.  Choose black for the fill.  I also have black as the stroke in my example.

Be aware, though, that this would 'hide' the black text of a signature, but not actually cover it.

I hope this is helpful.  My best,

Dave
