"New" Acrobat Text Box Fill

Good day!

Just updated to the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, which has changed the look and features quite drastically. There is the option to "Disable New Acrobat", but I'm hoping to learn how to use the new features rather than disrgard them. Part of my work flow utilizes the "Add Text" feature through the Edit Tool. Prior to the update, we had the option to add borders, fill color and opacity to the text box. I've tried using the "Ctrl+E" to open the box properties, but that command is no longer supported in the new update.

What I'm trying to do is create a text box that I can type in that covers the text/images behind it. The "Send to front/Send to back" is not covering the other text/images.

Any solutions would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Don't use the Edit Tool. Add a text comment.

Or use the Redaction Tool.

Thank you for taking a look! Unfortunately, neither of those suggestions solve my issue. The information to be covered can't be redacted for my purposes, as it may need to be referenced later and with a filled text box, we were able to move the box at a later time to see the information underneath.

With the "Add comment" tool, the text comment has the same result in which the text and images in the background are still visable through the text being added.

If you happen to think of a different possible solution, I'd appreciate to hear it!

You can change the background color of the text comment.

Can you advise on how to do that? The only changes I can see for the text comment is the color of the words themselves, not the background or fill color. It also does not have a link to the properties of the text box when right-clicked.

Thank you again for the attempted guidance, but as I had stated above, right-clicking on the text box does not provide a link to the properties of the text. It did in the prior Acrobat version, however, with the most current update, that is not an option.
