"save as" is blank when I try to save a PDF

When I try to save an already created PDF by clicking on "save as" I get a screen that says "save as" at the top but is otherwise blank. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Help!

Thanks,

sibyl

If Save As is blank (or grayed out), then the file has already been saved and nothing has changed in it.

  • To locate the files, try using your operating system's search feature to search for them.
  • Also at the very bottom of the File menu, Acrobat could show a fragment of the file's "path" location, like below. That might give you enough information to locate them.

Note: This screen capture is from Windows Acrobat.

More info from me:

Yet, on the tool bar next to "home" and "tools" it lists the documents as saved. I just don't know where to find them. I'd like the option of renaming them, and I want to put them in particular folders.
