"Select Provider" on digital signatures

I have a digital signature but when I click to provide it in a document that has a digital signature box, I get a box that says "select provider" and has a pull down menu of trusted certificates. I don't need this but I can't get rid of it and I can't sign the form. How do I get rid of this?
