Redact A Pdf 'Find text and redact' freezes application

Question

I am experiencing a recurring issue in Adobe Acrobat when using the Find Text and Redact tool. Each time I try to run a text search and redact process, the application freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. I have to force close Acrobat through Task Manager every time.

Troubleshooting steps I have already tried:

Splitting the PDF into smaller files
Scanning the PDF and saving as a new file
Optimizing the PDF
Turning off Enhanced Security
Setting Protected View to Off
Restarting Acrobat and restarting the system

None of these steps have resolved the issue. The freeze happens on multiple PDFs and is consistent.

Is this a known bug, and is there a recommended workaround or fix? Any help would be appreciated.
