Redact Tool Change?

Up until recently (couple months?), whenever I used the Redact tool, that function would remain active – even over several pages - until I switched to a different function or hit Escape to release the tool, or clicked to Permanently Remove.

 

Now, I have to click 2 times whenever I redact and then release the selection to move to the next. First click every time is to select the tool icon, then second click is to select “Text & Images”:

 

 

 

I’m working on a large redaction right now and this is really costing me time. I did look in Redact Properties to see if there was a setting for this, but found nothing.

 

Any ideas how to retain the Redact tool/function throughout several selections/releases?

That's not the usual behaviour. You should check if that is in relation with this document only. I just tested the redaction utility and it did work fine.

 

Maybe you should also post your OS and version and the Acrobat and version.
