Redactions Leave Unwanted Hidden Sticky Notes Where Each Redaction Appears
I often use Adobe Acrobat to make recurring redactions of text in the same location of each page of a PDF document. However, these redactions are apparently leaving hidden sticky notes on each page where the redaction was placed. Interestingly, these sticky notes do not appear when opening the PDF in Adobe Acrobat, but they do appear when I open the PDF in a third-party software such as Preview on Mac OS. When I click on the sticky note, it reveals text stating: "Unmarked set by" in each sticky note.
I would really like to know how to perform redactions without leaving these sticky notes. It's very distracting to have these sticky notes appear on every single page when I open the PDF in other software besides Adobe Acrobat. I've found that I'm able to remove these sticky notes by using the "sanitize document" feature after making my redactions, but this is really not an ideal solution for me, since this feature also removes bookmarks and other things I don't want removed.
I've tried tinkering with settings on the "Redaction Tool Properties" settings menu, but I still haven't been able to find a solution [Some notes on my current settings: I've left both the "Author" and "Subject" fields in the Redaction Tool Properties menu empty by default. The background of the redacted area is always white, so I set the redaction settings not to fill the redacted area with any color (and opacity is set to 0%)].
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make redactions without leaving these hidden comments/sticky notes? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
