Reduce number of paper sizes

This is probably not the right place to ask this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. When I print from acrobat and go to page setup, there are soooo many paper options (German Std Fanfold??). I only use 3 - letter, 11x17, legal. Is there a way to get rid of all the other ones? I have a drawing program that I just put in a preference file my paper sizes and the order I want them to show up in the list and that's all I get from that programs print dialog.
