Reinstall acrobat 9.0 pro extended does not work

I want to reinstall adobe acrobat 9.0 pro extended after PC crash. I have the originalmpackage and serial numbers. Whether I install via original DVD or via impported DVD fiels to hard-disk, I end up on a page where I again shall insert my serial numbers, which was just shown on the previous page. When I do, Message is that ”wrong figures, try serial numbers for another alternative product…. Doesn´t work. I finish and get out of program. Loading acrobat, and a file, fine, but to do anything, the bloody message reappears and I am back where I started.I KNOW my serial number is correct, it appears on my ”Adobe-ID” pages.

PLEAS help me, I am in urgent demand of using the no 9.0 version, I have no time – nor money – to be forced to buy the acrobat DC version, I also need the editing features which are excluded on the free versions. As I am registerred, you have my e-mail and also telephone no in Sweden. Please respond ASAP. For information: I have spent some 6 hours jumping around all your websites, done wht you have proposed, etc.

Thank you in advance / BD

Try the installer from here: Download Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9

Acrobat 9 is a very old version, not compatible with any current OS. So if you're using it on a new(-ish) computer, problems are to be expected.

Thank you all for contributions – but none with a solution. Before the crash, adobe acrobat 9 pro extended worked very well in windows 10, so OK old verion, but still going strong – then. As I bought a physical package with a DVD, I DON`T have an earlier version of sort with a serial number. As mentioned, on my Adobe page (logged in), I find the serial number of the purchased DVD. Further, I don´t want an upgrade, I just want a simple reinstallation of the original. Where is the logic from Adobe, smartness beyond understanding?

Many times people try to install software and enter the serial once, then find they are asked for the serial of a qualifying product. This means it is an upgrade and now you must enter the old product serial.

Also your Question was asking as if you expected to have a reply from Adobe staff. This is not the way To reach them.

Response to "MVP":

Sorry, but don´t figure out what you mean. My contribution was / is a straight and humble enquire about HELP to solve the problem, nothing else, OK?

This is not tech support.

Is it asking for a qualifying serial, something like that?
