Replace font(s) globally in a PDF - Plug in?

I have to globally replace all three fonts used/embedded in six 120+ pages PDF files.

So far I didn't find a way to do this with the onboard tools in Acrobat Pro.

Fortunately it works with the trial version of PitStop Pro.

But I was wondering if there are any (cheaper or free) reliable alternatives which you are using for this simple task.

Thanks in advance!

You could File > Export To the PDF as a MSWord document. Change the font in Word. Then re-make the PDF. It may require significant touchups to the Word doc before converting back to PDF.

Thanks. This obviously isn't the best solution but it works. It's probably the only way of doing this pending Adobe adding the feature to Acrobat Pro.

To be very clear such font replacement is anything but a simple task! It requires significant modification of the PDF file including re-layout and spacing of text in addition to replacing font definitions. It also has to be able to deal with character set content and encoding differences.
