Replace Text Tool Missing in Acrobat

Community Beginner ,
Sep 17, 2021 Sep 17, 2021

Hello -

I use this feature almost daily, and it is suddenly missing (I am on a Mac). Appreciate any insight as to how to get this important tool back.

Thank you!

Are you referring to the "Replace Text" tool on the comment toolbar?

I just updated to the latest version of Acrobat on my Mac, and the tool is still there. So this is not something that was accidentially removed with a software update. Can you still access the tool when you go to the "Tools" pane, and type "Replace text" into the tool search field?

You may have to right-click on any of the comment tools in the toolbar, and then select to "Customize Comment Tools" to add the tools you want, or to select "Reset Toolbars" to get back to what they were when you first installed Acrobat.

Please indicate in which macOS version this occurred and in which version of Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Also, can you tell if this problem happened after unattended took place in your machine?

Thank you so much...I hadn't tried that. Just typed it in under tools and clicked on it. Now it is repopulating with it.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
