Question

Request for lowering subscription fee as long as Acrobat Pro is so bad

Dear Adobe,

I have been using your products for over 30 years now. They have become part of my life.

But Acrobat is by far the worst product I have ever used in those years. It is useless. Acrobat crashes, is incredibly slow, and lacks basic features that the competition has had for years.

Since I have to use another paid PDF tool, I think it is fair for Adobe to lower the subscription costs because you cannot charge people for this software. I don't think Adobe is proud of this product. It takes away all the joy from using the other Adobe products.

Please consider my request. Thanks

Hi there,

I hope you are doing well. Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve experienced. I understand how frustrating it can be, especially since you’ve been using Adobe products for so many years.

Crashes, slow speed, and missing features are not the experience we want for you.

Please make sure Acrobat is updated to the latest version 25.01.20623, as updates often fix problems. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.  You can also try Help > Repair Installation in Acrobat, and turn off any unused plug-ins to see if it runs faster.

Regarding your request for lower subscription costs, I can’t make that change myself, but I will share your feedback with our product and billing teams so they understand how this is affecting you.

Thanks again for your understanding and for being a long-time Adobe user.

My Acrobat was already up to date. So that did not solve it.

I removed Acrobat, reinstalled it. Same behavior.

I am not the only one with this problem. Many people are experiencing this.

It is frustrating that Adobe is spending time adding AI features while not improving its core functionality.
