Hello, we are looking to make our PDFs only accessible through Adobe Acrobat and users have to connect to our server to fetch the contents of the PDF. How can we implement this?

You would have to use DRM protection for something like that, and that doesn't come cheap...

See: https://business.adobe.com/blog/basics/digital-rights-management

Notice there are no prices published. Those are negotiated directly with Adobe, but expect something in the 5-digit range.

Thanks for recommending a third party provider. I did my own research and found FileOpen which seems to provide an Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin to view their encrypted files. I am not sure how it works as we are not a FileOpen user but do you happen to know how to make such plugins? And do we still require Adobe's DRM if we used this plugin in Acrobat Reader?
