Question

Save as PDF or Print as PDF

I'm on a Mac OS11.4 Big Sur. I received a pdf with no crop marks, so in old version I could edit with advanced and add crop marks, then Print as Adobe PDF. Now it seems to be gone.

How do I get Adobe PDF as a printer option when I open Printers&Scanners in system folder?

You can add trim marks, etc, to the existing PDF.

Print Production > Add Printer Marks.

To see them, you need to expand the page size:

Print Production > Set Page Boxes.

"Change Page Size" at bottom left. Custom: make it 1" wider and taller than what you have now.

Done.

Save.

You can add crop marks in Acrobat, but you may also need to increase the page size. If you need to add bleed, that's another topic.

Hello,

I have Acrobat installed on my machine, I open a PDF, I choose the Adobe PDF printer, then I go to advanced and place the marks and guides, all without problem.

Could it be that you don't see the Adobe PDF Printer?

or that the process is not being done as is?

Since it's already a PDF you can't print it to a (new) PDF. Here you want to "Save as..." and give it a new name.

Didn't  answer my question. We ended up installing a free pdf writer. But should be able to do it in acrobat.

The Adobe PDF virtual printer does not exist for Mac computers, due to Apple's policies.
