Saved PDFs are being automatically locked

I am preparing documents but when I save them as a PDF and then go back to edit them or add a signature the document is locked.  Is it something in my preferences that I need to change?

Hi Kelliem,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to save as pdf, is that correct?

Could you let us know the application you are saving pdfs from? - Office / Excel?

Are you using File > Save as > Browse > Save as type option or File > save as Adobe PDF?

For ex- in Word, you can try disabling security by clicking Acrobat tab in the ribbon > Preferences > Security tab > uncheck the box under permission and check if that helps. Below is a screenshot:
