Question

Saving a PDF that I have opened from Windows 11 File Explorer

This is the only application (in all the world), that asks me where I want to SAVE a PDF that I have editted (highlights)... which it already know, then ask me for a filename...which it already knows, then ask me to confirm if I want to replace it. 3 steps to save an existing file !!!!!

I'm not executing a SAVE AS or SAVE COPY AS... I'm saving an existing document.

Fix this please.

Jeff

Either

1. don't use double click to open. Use Open from the File menu, or

2. turn off protected mode. Preferences, security (enhanced), first option.

Hi,

This happens a lot to me to !

Try this:

The next time that you save the opened file, don't continue to work with that document until you fully close that document after it was saved,  exit Acrobat completely, and restart Acrobat.

If this doesn't work save the file with a different name, or move the file to different folder.

This may also be related with a Preferences settings.

I would consider disabling any online services Preferences possibly related with Save As Optmizes for Fast Webview, for example.

Or, Synchronize preferences accross devices, In would turn them off.
