I am trying to downlaod a pdf file to Sharepoint but the name is being changed,

eaxample. 702.33 gets shortened to 702

How can I stop this from happening ?

@Abambo - I can. Sharepoint will edit the file name when ingesting into the system. I manage our Sharepoint instance and this was noted a long time ago. Plus adding a dot to a file name is bad practice in general, same as special characters.

Does that also happen when the file name is 170-33?
Abambo.

@Vituity5C67 periods in file names are not good practice and can lead to file corruption. Sharepoint will rectify this by removing anything after a period/dot and the file extension. As @Abambo pointed out try and underscore _ or dash - instead.

You even can't know who strips the upper part of the filename.
