Question

Saving LONG PDF docs in Acrobat

I was trying to save a 32-page PDF doc from an online site to my PC using Acrobat. It views and physically prints just fine, but when I tried to save it, it would save only about half a dozen pages. Same thing no matter what I did--change browsers, print to PDF, etc. I finally ended up physically printing it, then scanning it and saving the scanned file to PDF.

What was going on, and what do I need to do to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

You should set your browser to not open PDFs and to open them with Acrobat.

It solves a lot of issues.

A 32-page PDF file is not a long file. What happens, when you download the file, without viewing in Acrobat?

There's no "Save Target As" option when I right-click on the file link. "Save As" brings up a .html file type. In other words, I don't see a way to save the file without viewing it first.

Can you give the link of this online PDF?

I'm afraid not. It's a private file at my brokerage, and I have to log in to see it.
