Scan Button on Fujitsu fi-7160 stops working on Laptop

I have a user who has a Lenovo T480 Laptop running Windows 10 using a Lenovo USB 3.0 Docking Station with a Fujitsu fi-7160 scanner. She likes to use the 'scan' button on her scanner to start the scan in Acrobat. Every time she undocks her laptop to take it somewhere and then plugs it back in, the scanner button no longer works. I have to go into the Devices and Printers and the Scanner Event settings to re-associate the scan button with the Acrobat software. I have multiple users who use desktops with the scanners, and I never have to fix their scan button association. I have installed the latest Fujitsu Scanner drivers. I know this is likely a Windows or Fujitsu Driver issue, but I thought some other Acrobat users might have experienced the same issues.
