When using the Selection Tool and attempting to select a series of text with my mouse, it does not select or highlight the text.  I have to place the courser adjacent to the text I wish to select and SHIFT and the Arrows to select the text.   Plase advise

Hi @pauld28075637

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.3.20314 or 22.3.20322 (Win Only) installed. Go to Help > Check fo

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Amal

Adobe, this is happening again, and I repaired the installation for a 2nd time.

The inability to properly use the mouse within Acrobat negatively affects my ability to move fields/text, adjust the Tab order of Fields, and resize boxes.  I'm sure there's more items that this affects.

Please fix this issue or I will look to another PDF editing solution.

Hi @pauld28075637

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html  , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the direct link
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and see if that helps.

Thank you Amal. In doing some of my own testing, I found if I run Disk Cleanup and delete Temporary Internet Files normal functionality returns. At least for a short period of time. (days)

I could remove Acrobat and reinstall. Will let you know.
