Me too and it is also happening when I try to use the OCR editing tools. It was fine a few weeks ago, but now I can get to it. I upgraded my Mac to Ventura 13.6.9 and then I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, but no luck.

Also found Edit a PDF and Prepare for accessibility don't show either. They have the same issues as Scan & OCR where the editing tools don't show. I even tried to go to one of the pages that is an image only and it offered the Recognize Text box when I right clicked, but when I chose that option, it took me to the non-visible editing tools from the screenshot in my post above.

@showalters I noticed it depends on what type of file shows up. For example, if I open a file on my desktop, I get all the tools:

mpchow_0-1723242166314.pngexpand image

And if I open a file from the 'Cloud,' I only have these tools:

mpchow_1-1723242214463.pngexpand image

So, you need to make sure you are opening the files from your computer and not the cloud to get all the tools.

This is on my desktop app. I never use the cloud based one.

I mean the files are on my computer. I don't save my files in the cloud. This is happening for me on every file I've tried to edit in the last week or so. All opened from my computer.

I have the same problem. Was workign fine up to a few days ago but all i get now is a box that has large scrambled text with no options.

Have also found today that when not in full screen mode, the Fill and Sign option also go blank. This rectifies itself when you go back to full screen.

The share document issue is a realy annoying. Does anyone have a fix for this yet?

So frustrating!

Same here. I've contacted Adobe online support but the only solution-idea was to delete preferences, which didn't help.

If somebody found a solution, please share it!

It is really annoying....

Hi @Alfredo22201875sen9 , thanks for reporting this,

Can you please provide the following information:
1. What is the current build that you are using?
2. Are you using dual monitor?
3. Click on Check for Updates.
4. If there is another update, first update and please try to reproduce the same issue and also share the latest build.

Thanks

Here is the current Adobe version, sorry but not sure what you mean re build version.

I am using two screens, and I think you may have found the problem.

If I open Adobe Pro on the external screen and hit share, the problem occurs. If I close and reopen Adobe to my Mac using the Macbook screen, the share facility works.

There are no updates due.

I have no idea why the share facility works on the built-in screen but not the external screen.

If you can throw any light on this, it would be very helpful and gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

I'm trying to see a pattern but I haven't yet. It seemes very random.

I just forced mine to check for the update and installed.  So far so good.  My box to share is no longer black/blank.  I also have multiple monitor set-up.

I am running Macbook Pro With M2 Max chip & Sonoma 14.5. I am also using an LG 34" external monitor with the HDMI port. My previous post on here was echoing having the same issue as the OP. I After reading the last few posts about multiple monitors, I disconnected the external monitor and opened Acrobat using just the laptop screen and it was back to normal! Plugged monitor back in tried again. If the document opens on the external monitor, the share menu window is messed up. if it opens on the laptop it's fine. While ok for a temporary workaround, this is not a long term solution. Adobe folks - can we gat a patch to fix this ASAP? Thanks!

Put my creative team on the list for this issue too!

I have reached out to support 3 times since 8/5/2024 and all 3 times they fixed it, but only temporarly.

I have only one colleauge that does not have this issue. She has Acrobat version 2024.002.21005 installed. The rest of us have 2024.002.20964 with no options to install older/alternate versions. I'm assuming we can't install the version she has onto the other machines as we are all pulling it from our subscriptions. PLEASE let us know when you have a new update that has resolved this!!!

I've done all of the problem-solving instructions, and it's still not working. I get a blank pop-up.

I have dual monitors, Mac OS 14.6.1, and Acrobat 2024.004.20219

Help! Thanks.

LATEST

Hi @Harsh Vats -

All of my issues have returned (See earlier post above.) It's been back for a while, so I finally decided to see if updating it would fix the issue. I just finished updating to the newest version (2024.005.20320) and changed the view to Enable New Acrobat, and lost the Edit a PDF, Organize pages, Scan & OCR, Protect a PDF, etc. menu options (can open them, but it's a blank white box under the Edit tab). When I click the share button, a blank box comes up. Still on a Mac, still using dual screens plus my laptop, still using files directly from my laptop. I can only use Acrobat fully if I choose "Disable new Acrobat" in the View menu. I haven't tried my Windows laptop in a while, but last time I was testing, it was only broken on my Mac, and it seems like everyone having the issues are on Macs.
