Not that I am aware of did you use the serial number listed on the page next to the Acrobat 8 Professional download?  Did you successfully remove your previous version?

I branched this to a separate topic as the previous discussion so we can work to resolve your difficulties without getting off-topic for the download process.

Kelso per the document referenced by Jeep57 you should not be prompted to download an e-license if you are using the serial number offered on http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html.  Which operating system are you attempting to utilize Acrobat 8 on?  Did you have the retail version of Acrobat 8 installed prior to the activation servers being shut down?

Good Morning Jeff,

I installed using the executable and serial number found on this page.

Acrobat Pro 8.0, S/N: 1118-1414-1955-8737-8172-0350, OS: Windows 7 (x64)

I did not have a retail version installed on this computer prior to shutdown of the activation servers.

I suppose I should uninstall and start over from scratch to ensure I've done the process correctly?

Are there any registry keys or remaining files that need to be removed manually?

Thanks!
