Click tools - certifice
Click sign digitally
Choose where to put your signature
Choose your certificate
Check "lock document after sign" (same issue if you don't doh)
Click sign
Pop up askes were to save the file
Save the file
Then this error occurs and my sign NRKNLA dissapers
Error something like: windows supplier of cryptography reported an issue - ASN1 - incorrectly tag value. Error code 2148086027
In version 2022.001.20117 this works as expected.
Any ideas?

Hello,
I was facing the same problem with same error code. Here is the solution that worked out -
Go to Edit ---> Preferences ---> Security (Enhanced) ---> Untick the "Enable Protected Mode at startup" under Sandbox Protections. Then click "OK" and then restart your adobe application.
Hope this will be helpful.

Hi,
Unfortunately this is not a solution. We must have Protected mode enabled, and as i describe this used to work.
Our solution is to remove Acrobat and use another pdf-reader.

This solution doesn't work. My certificate is already SHA256. Yet it has stopped working on version 2022.001.20142

1. PREREQUISITES
2. CryptoID SDK
3. Certificate is enrolled inside CryptoID
4. Adobe and Office
2. DIGITALLY SIGN ADOBE ACROBAT READER DC
1. Open Adobe, follow the steps:
Click Edit-Preferences
Click Security, select Use SafeLogic and then click OK
Ó Longmai Technology Co.,Ltd, 2022 Page 3 of 18
Click Security (Enhanced), make sure select the same options as the image shown :
After the settings, restart your Adobe, then click Edit-Preferences, click Security
(Enhanced), you can see the page is shown like this:
Ó Longmai Technology Co.,Ltd, 2022 Page 4 of 18
Then click Signatures, Select More on the Identities & Trusted Certificates.
Unfold Digital IDs, select PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens:
Ó Longmai Technology Co.,Ltd, 2022 Page 5 of 18
Then click Attach Module:
If your Windows Operation System is 64bit, and your Adobe is 64bit as well, then
you need load library from C:\Windows\System32\CryptoIDA_pkcs11.dll
Ó Longmai Technology Co.,Ltd, 2022 Page 6 of 18
If your Adobe is 32bit, then you need load library from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
CryptoIDA_pkcs11.dll
Then you can see CryptoID Module is loaded. (here my Adobe is 64bit, thus I load library from
C:\Windows\System32\CryptoIDA_pkcs11.dll , if your Adobe is 32bit, you should load from another path,
check the content above)
Ó Longmai Technology Co.,Ltd, 2022 Page 7 of 18
Then unfold the PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens, click Longmai PKCS11# Library,
then click Login button. Input your token password and then click OK.
Now you can use Adobe sign PDF.

No, this is not working or is a solution. Also we cannot disable protected mode and put us at risk.
This issue is also in the later versions:
22.002.20191 and 22.001.20169
@Meenakshi Negi please advice how Adobe handle this issue
Best regards

Hi snokas782721,
Sorry for the delay in response.
As the issue still occurs with the latest version, we would require some details.
Would you mind sharing the screen recording with us with the complete workflow?
Also, let us know if you have created the digital sign in Acrobat.
Did you check if the issue occurs on the new digital signature created in Acrobat?
Thanks,
Meenakshi

@Meenakshi Negi Here is a screen recording to show the workflow. And you can se we have protected mode enabled. Before version 2022.001.20142 this was no issue. To get this to work we must disable protected mode.
This appers in both Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC.
