Signature configuration in Adobe Acrobat Pro 17

Question

How do I configure Digital Signature in Adobe Acrobat Pro 17 so that the Drag New Signature Rectangle option appears. I only see Add Signature and Add Initials options but I need the Signature Rectangle option because the signature comes from a certificate and a server with a time stamp.

Hi,

I think you're referring to certificate based digital signatures, not electronic signatures. Is that correct?

If you're not able to see the digital signature fields in that PDF contact the creator of the form to fix that. Ask them to add the appropriate signature field object.

Is the PDF protected and restricted from editing?

If it is not restricted, and you 're using then you can open the "Prepare Form" tool and add the digital signature field yourself. Then apply your signature to it.
