Question

Signature on Dell XPS15

I've just bought a new laptop and can't draw a signature on a PDF in Adobe. I've been using the same software for years and never had a problem.

When I open a file I used to go to Tools and Draw, then proceed to draw my signature on the touch screen. That doesn't work for any new PDF's I've created since I activated my new laptop. I can still draw a signature on my old PDF files buit not the new ones.

Any advice would be greatly appreciared.

Cheers...Roy

What version of Adobe Acrobat does you use? Where does you see Tools and Draw?

I downloaded the latest version onto my new laptop. Some files allow drawing a signature and others don't. It's very confusing.

Is it possible that when I generate a pdf on my new laptop there are permissions that are set on default that may be preventing me from drawing on the document? If so, how do I change the settings?

Could it be that some are already signed/locked?

Just to clarify--are you saying you can use the NEW laptop and draw sigs on old PDFs--NOT that you could draw sigs on old PDFs on another laptop. Is that correct?

Hi David, I tranferred my files onto the new laptop and some are still working ok with drawing a signature and others aren't. It's fairly hit and miss which files work and which ones don't.
