Software update -- and now page preview is gone from all portfolios

Hoping someone can help.  Adobe Pro just updated, and now the page previews are missing from all my Adobe portfolios.  The navigation panel, which used to be only on the left side of the screen, now takes up the entire screen.  I tried playing with menu options that seemed like logical solutions to bring the page preview panel back, but all menu items are grayed out.  How do I reinstsate the page preview panel?

My kingdom for a month of trouble-free work in Adobe.  😕😕

Hi @Megan249324891gtz

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for your trouble with the new Acrobat.

We are committed to resolving this issue promptly and working closely with you to identify its root cause.

To initiate the troubleshooting process, kindly follow these steps:

  • Install the latest Acrobat update from the Help menu by selecting "Check for updates." After installation, please restart the application and, if possible, your computer. This will help us determine if the problem persists in the updated Acrobat version.
  • If you still encounter issues with Page Previews in Portfolios, you can switch to the previous Classic Acrobat experience. To do this, navigate to the Menu and select "Disable new Acrobat."

  • Is this issue occurring with all Portfolios, or is it specific to one?

  • What is the current version of your operating system?

We're here to help; just need more info.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

I don't think this is a bug as I just had this happen 9 months later. I appreciate being able to disable new acrobat but I fear that at some point there will be an even newer acrobat and disabling it then will take me back to the one with the poor interface. 😕😕

See if this will work:

Thank you, Thom.  That's what I had to end up doing, which is really disappointing.  Thank God there is this option of reverting to the prior Adobe version, though.  Having the preview feature of a PDF portfolio is critical to my business, so I'm grateful that I can get that functionality back.

Hi @Megan249324891gtz,

Since this appears to be a bug (or something left out of the new version), please log it at UserVoice, https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/47082691-ditch-the-2023-user-interface-in-acrobat

This will help insure that it gets corrected.
