Start a numbered list from a higher number

Hi There,

Is there a way that I can create a numbered list that starts at a higher number?

(i.e. normally a numbered list starts at 1 but I'd like to start at 8 (as you can in Word))

Many thanks,

Jon

Get to the number you want in one text box. Copy from that text box, starting at the number you want and then paste it into another text box, it will keep the numbering. Still a lot of adjusting but much better than having to manually do all the paragraph spacing and such.

Is there a way to make it connect with the list it should be connected to? I got something going:

1. example

2. example, and then straight to

1. It's not realising it's in a list

Acrobat is not a word processing application, like Word, so its capabilities in this field are much more limited.

Are you referring to static text, or is this text part of a form field, or a comment?

It's just static text.

I'm editing a document to propose changes which would subsequently be drafted by someone else using In-Design.

My current method is just to delete the numbering and type the numbers in manually.

So I was looking for  less onerous method.
