Strange symbols appear in text while saving PDF in Acrobat

While working in Acrobat, my PDF document just changed the characters in my text to strange symbols, on every page! Please help! THe documents looks like this now"

These symbols are called Tofu and represent a missing character in the used font. Try the Preflight tool to analyse and propably fix the PDF.
