Using Windows 10 desktop with a plug in graphics tab and stylus. Would like to be able to use the stylus to make notes on a pdf e.g. student coursework. Highlighting and comments is ok, but doesn't let me just add a comma or circle a spelling error etc.
Any advice?

Hi Isa!
Thank you for reaching out.
As you are trying to add notes via stylus on PDF, please try using the "Use drawing tool" option under Comment Tools in the application.
In the application, go to Tools > Comment and click on the Pencil icon for "Use drawing tool".
Check if that works.
Let us know if you are looking for a different workflow.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Are you sure you're using the Pencil tool?

Correct. It should allow you to draw freely. You don't have to complete a shape with it.

Do you mean that you want each stroke to be saved as its own comment, instead of all of them being part of a single one?

My guess is it has to do with the sensitivity of the stylus or the pad you're using. I'm afraid I can't help you beyond that with this issue.

The stylus has no issues with any other program, it's definitely something to do with how Adobe is processing the pen strokes.

Then you can report it as a bug here: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

Adobe is simply incapable of offering stylus functionality to make handwritten annotations on a PDF! We have been asking for this for more than a decade now. They do not listen to their customers. It is that simple.
